Shareholders and profit sharing
Partners, capital and profit, kept straight
Owwel tracks each shareholder's capital and share of ownership. Distributions are capped at the profit actually made, capital is never paid out as profit, and each distribution is recorded as withdrawn or reinvested, with reinvested profit raising that shareholder's capital and ownership.
How it works
Profit only, never capital
A distribution can never exceed the profit available, so partners are never paid from their own capital by mistake.
Withdraw or reinvest
Each partner's share is either taken out or put back in as capital, and ownership updates with it.
Questions about shareholders and profit sharing
Can partners see their share?
Yes. Each shareholder's capital, ownership and distributions are kept on record and reported.
