Software for fashion shops and boutiques
Fashion sells on looks and on negotiation. Customers bargain, regulars buy on credit, and a style that does not move in its first weeks becomes cash stuck on a rail. Owwel gives a boutique a till staff can sell from by sight, and an owner view of what is really moving.
What usually goes wrong in fashion shops and boutiques
These are the gaps that quietly cost money every month. Each one has a direct answer below.
Staff cannot tell similar items apart quickly at the counter
Bargaining pushes prices lower than the owner ever intended
Styles that stopped selling are only noticed at the end of the season
Regular customers buy on credit that is tracked on paper
Stock sits in one shop while another shop runs out
How Owwel handles it
A till that sells by sight
Every product can carry a photo, shown on its tile at the till. Staff tap the picture rather than guessing between similar names.
Bargain, but never below the floor
Each product can have a minimum price. The till will not take a typed price below it, and a discount under it is flagged to the owner straight away.
Slow sellers before they become dead stock
Sort the catalogue by what is not selling and by stock value, so cash tied up on the rail is visible while there is still time to promote it.
Credit that is written down properly
Record a sale on credit against a named customer and Owwel keeps their balance current. Part payments are recorded against the invoice, and a statement shows exactly what is owed.
Move stock between shops
Transfer items from one shop to another with the movement recorded on both sides, so each shop's count stays right and nothing disappears in transit.
