Terms of Service

These terms are between you, the account holder, and the provider of Owwel, whose details appear at the foot of this page. Where you create an account on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business, and "you" means that business.

Owwel is business management software covering sales, stock, expenses, staff and reporting. It is provided as a subscription and accessed over the internet. It is a tool for recording and reporting on your own trading.

Owwel is not an accountant, a bookkeeper, a tax adviser or an auditor, and nothing it produces is professional advice. The figures it shows are built from what you and your team enter. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your records and for meeting your own filing, tax and regulatory obligations.

You are responsible for what happens under your account.

• Keep your password to yourself. Owwel cannot read it and will never ask for it.
• You decide who to invite to your business and what each role may do. Their actions are your responsibility.
• Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been accessed by someone who should not have it.
• Details you give must be accurate, and kept up to date while the account is open.

Subscriptions are sold per year, per plan, at the prices shown on the pricing page. Each plan carries its own limits on businesses, branches and team members, and those limits are enforced by the software.

• A trial gives full access for its stated period. When it ends without payment, the account becomes read-only.
• Payment is due in advance of the period it covers.
• Prices may change. An existing paid period is honoured at the price you paid; a change takes effect from your next renewal and we will tell you before it does.
• Where a plan charges per additional user beyond its included allowance, those charges are stated on the pricing page.

You own the records you enter. Owwel holds them to run the service for you and claims no ownership of them.

• You can export your data at any time you can sign in, including while the account is read-only.
• Owwel does not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use your business records to train anything.
• An unpaid account becomes read-only rather than being deleted. We do not hold books hostage and we do not purge inactive accounts.

Owwel must not be used to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, or to attack or degrade the service for anyone else. The full list, and what happens when an account crosses those lines, is in the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.

We work to keep Owwel available and to fix faults quickly, but no internet service is available every minute. Owwel does not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and we would rather say that plainly than publish a number we are not committing to.

Maintenance that we expect to interrupt the service will be announced in advance where circumstances allow.

Owwel is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Because Owwel reports on the records you enter, we are not responsible for decisions taken on figures that were entered incorrectly.

• You may cancel at any time. What happens to your data and when a refund is due is set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
• We may suspend an account that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy, and will tell you why.
• We may end the agreement for a serious or repeated breach, with notice and with a reasonable opportunity to export your data first, except where the law or the safety of others requires immediate action.

These terms may change as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when the current wording took effect. Material changes will be notified rather than made quietly, and continuing to use Owwel after a change means accepting the new terms.

The governing law and the courts that hear any dispute are those of the country in which the Owwel entity named below is registered.
