1. Try it before you pay
Every account starts with a trial that gives full access. The point of the trial is that you find out whether Owwel suits your business before any money changes hands. Nothing is charged during it, and it does not roll into a paid subscription without you choosing to pay.
2. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
- Tell us at info@owwel.com and we will action it.
- Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not cut you off that day.
- At the end of that period the account becomes read-only rather than closing.
3. What happens to your data
This is the part most people want to know, so it is stated plainly.
- Your records are not deleted when you stop paying.
- A lapsed account becomes read-only. You can still sign in, read everything and export it.
- Owwel does not purge inactive accounts to reclaim space.
- Paying again restores full access to the same books, with nothing lost.
- If you want the account and its data actually deleted, ask and it will be. That is irreversible, so export first. See the data page.
4. When a refund is due
Subscriptions are sold per year and paid in advance. Because the trial exists so you can decide before paying, a paid year is not refunded simply because it went unused.
A refund is due where:
- You were charged in error, or charged twice.
- You were charged after cancelling.
- Owwel is unable to provide the service for a sustained period and cannot put it right.
- The law where you are gives you a right to one.
Outside those cases we will still look at what happened. If you paid for a year and something about Owwel made it unusable for you, write to us and explain. We would rather deal with that fairly than hide behind a clause.
5. How a refund is paid
- Refunds go back by the method you paid with.
- We action them promptly once agreed. How long the money takes to appear is then down to your bank or mobile money provider.
- Where only part of a period is refunded, it is calculated on the unused time remaining.
6. Price changes
A period you have already paid for is honoured at the price you paid. A price change takes effect from your next renewal, and we will tell you before it does, so you can decide whether to continue.
